Building Information Modelling is steadily growing in adoption across the whole construction sector and has been embraced by engineers, contractors and architects alike. We have Aston BIM Creations as our strategic partner to offer custom BIM libraries and Macros to implement the unique As-Built BIM features.
When creating a new build project working in BIM is a no brainer, however when it comes to working on retrofit and refurb projects BIM hasn't always been the preferred choice due to lack of the library modules and components. This is also because up until now converting existing sites & structures into a 3D building information model format has been perceived as to costly and time consuming which is no longer at todays time.
Scannpoint USA has made 3D Laser scanning rapid, accurate and cost effective in a 3D format capturing all the detail required to create As-Built BIM of existing buildings and allied infra. This can be used for a range of construction management, Structural Health Monitoring ( S.H.M.) and Verification processes.
At Scannpoint USA we have been working within a BIM environment for the last 11 years and we use extensively TEKLA & REVIT for modelling projects built in Revit. Anticipating the need for a service to convert existing sites to BIM we launched our “WeBIM” solution in October of 2019.
We have developed a team of experienced architectural technologist & BIM detailers who are experts in TEKLA, Revit, Scene, Cyclone Aviva etc. and the IT infrastructure with our secured server, cloud based platforms allows multiple teams of modelers to collaborate across projects and point clouds. We have also developed our own modelling specifications to assist our clients in getting quotes that match their needs, expectations and budgets.
